In pursuit of high rigidity and durability, we adopted HAGANE gear and HAGANE body.
In addition, the smooth line release during reverse rotation required of a lever brake reel is achieved by equipping it with a Magnum Light rotor. As for waterproof performance, X-Protect is used for the line roller part, making it a truly high-spec reel with no compromises. It also comes equipped with a zero-fuke tension lever that can apply a light brake when the rotor reverses, reducing line trouble caused by rotor reversal.

High rigidity and durability thanks to the HAGANE body and HAGANE gears.
The reels are located on the rocks, where you never know when powerful fish, including large longtails, will appear. Lever brake reels, which are used primarily on this stage, are expected to be subjected to high loads when reeling, so they require high rigidity in the reel foot and the entire body. The HAGANE body used in the BB-X Larissa is a robust aluminum body that reduces concerns about impacts in harsh environments and power loss due to bending and twisting. In addition, it is equipped with hard, tenacious HAGANE gears formed by precision cold forging, achieving a reel gear strength that is one class above the rest.
X-Protect protects rotation and improves waterproof performance.
High waterproof performance is essential for reels for reels used on rocky shores, which may be exposed to sea spray from time to time. The BB-X Larissa newly adopts X-Protect in the line roller section. By combining a special water-repellent grease with a labyrinth structure that prevents water from entering, high waterproof performance is achieved without compromising the lightness of rotation.

In pursuit of light rotation, Larissa has adopted the Magnum Light Rotor, which reduces rotational inertia. This excellent rotor performance realizes a sense of speed that allows the angler to instantly move from an unfavorable position to an advantageous position. It also supports the angler with a sharp response during forward rotation to catch fish.
The zero-flick tension lever reduces line trouble.
BB-X Larissa is the only model in the 2500/C3000 size equipped with a zero-fuke tension lever. By turning the zero-fuke tension lever ON, you can apply a slight tension (enough so that the weight of the handle does not cause the rotor to reverse) to the rotor's reverse rotation, reducing line trouble caused by the rotor's reverse rotation when attaching bait or changing tackle. It also suppresses the reverse rotation backlash that tends to occur when the horse mackerel swims suddenly or the bigfin reef squid reverses its thrust when fishing with a yaen.
